Hello there!
July and many of my summer activities have passed and as fellow blogger Andreas points out in his previous post, it's soon time for the padel wheel to start rolling again...
Just recently, I found out that my partner for the past 2 years, Billie, may no longer be able to play with me this fall, so it may just be the dawn of a new padel era for me. Of course, this is somewhat of a disappointment since I'll suddenly be on the look-out for a new partner and in addition, there have been quite a few elite ladies that have seemed to slowly fade away from the Swedish tournament scene. Those few elite ladies who are still going at it seem to already have their partners set.
This poses a new challenge for both me and women's padel in Sweden, but like I have said before, there's never a dull moment in padel. So, I'm just going to have to jump the wave again and continue to enjoy the ride. Plus, hopefully the new talents are still out there grinding it and on their way up to help us out.
Looking forward to a busy fall filled with SPT tournaments, national team meets, Swedish Championships, and European Championships. The next SPT tournament at the end of August is in Helsingborg and I'll be pairing up with Ebba Stedt. We've clicked pretty well in the past both on and off court, so it will be fun having her by my left side again!
As a trainer, I will be holding my regular training sessions throughout the fall at my home club Padel Center Göteborg, and will also be taking part in three training camps. First up at Hills Golf Club, Gothenburg in August, then Camp Padel, Gandia, in the beginning of October and lastly Olka Padel Camp for Ladies, Alicante in November.
