Now we are the ones out for revenge…

After all the anticipation of the first SPT, three questions were answered:

 1) Will we walk away undefeated? NO

2) Who learned the most from the last tournament? NOT SURE

3) Did I use the new shot I learned the other week? DEFINITELY NOT #sigh

Lödde Padel most certainly delivered a successful opening to the SPT season with its beautiful facility, high-quality live-streaming, friendly crew, plus some finer details such as a smoothie/juice bar, paella lunch special and dramatic entrance music for the finalists.

Unfortunately, our padel game didn’t measure up to the event’s extravagancy and our winning streak was broken. #letsgetreadytorumble #ormaybeletsgetreadytofumble. OK, it was bound to happen. I can take a loss and wipe on a smile, but deep inside there’s that 5 year-old girl whining because she rode in daddy’s car and mommy’s car came home first. But that’s part of the charm of playing any game. There has to be passion involved otherwise it would get boring.

Ending on a positive note, I’m glad to say that Padel Sweden is getting all the more exciting, that many have named yesterday’s final as Sweden’s “best women’s final ever” (although I believe all four of us have even more up our sleeves and can put on a much better show) and last but not least, that Billie and I now get the chance to be the ones out for revenge…
